GSI's SiteView Monitoring Service
GSI's SiteView monitoring service, included with Essential and Optimal System Administration, is designed to make sure your websites, ftp sites, mail services, and other network resources remain online and responsive to your customer's needs.
SiteView features 24x7 remote monitoring of your critical network applications, including website responsiveness, the ability to send/receive emails, and the visibility of your servers on the Internet. With SiteView, you can receive custom alerts via email or a text message to your mobile phone.
As part of the service, GSI will also handle the first response to the alerts and work according to our documented remediation and escalation procedures to bring your systems into service immediately.
SiteView can monitor the following protocols and services:
- HTTP/HTTPS (availability, page content, response time)
- Remote Ping (availability, response time)
- DNS (domain name lookup response)
- FTP/SFTP (availability, test download)
- Email (SMTP/POP3/IMAP)
SiteView does not require agent monitoring software to be installed, but systems must be available to our public monitoring servers (via the Internet), or to our private monitoring servers via VPN tunnel.
