GSI’s Service Delivery teams are focused on providing our clients the right solution with the right people every time. Every team is a critical part of our client relationship and an integral part to your service delivery needs being fulfilled and exceeded.
Response Center Team
GSI’s Response Center is what most hosting companies would call a help desk, or first line of defense. That’s not GSI’s attitude. This is our first line of Offense. This team not only handles inbound client inquiries, but proactively assists GSI’s other teams in managing operations of servers, security alerts, and hardware diagnostics. GSI’s Response Center team is online at each of our datacenters 24x7 and can be contacted via phone, email, or through our Client Portal.
Network Services Team
Our Network Services Team includes the Engineers and Administrators that design, configure, deploy, and maintain GSI’s network and security devices. This includes managing the switching, routing, firewalling and load balancing services for clients, as well as configuring remote telecommunications links and VPN connectivity. This team works with and holds certifications on technologies from Cisco, Juniper, HP, F5, and other vendors.
Provisioning Services Team
GSI’s Provisioning Services Team manages the full lifecycle of all hardware components of a clients environment at GSI. This includes the purchasing, logistics, inventory control, imaging and physical deployment of servers, switches, storage, and other gear in GSI’s datacenters.
System Services Team
GSI’s System Services Team handles the configurations and operations of GSI’s client server systems. Additionally this team is responsible for the operations of all storage systems, including SANs from EMC, Network Appliance and other vendors. The System Services Team also provides engineering and operations services for GSI’s virtualization platforms based on VMWare’s ESX Infrastructure initiative. This team holds certifications in Linux, Microsoft Windows, VMWare, EMC, and a variety of other technologies.
Database Services Team
Databases are at the heart of nearly every client’s project. GSI’s Database Services Team provides the critical planning, installation, configuration, monitoring, and management services that are required to keep your production MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle databases running at optimal performance levels. With a broad range of experience in both stand-alone and high availability situations, GSI’s Database Services Team can assist you with Oracle RAC, Oracle DataGuard, and replication in both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
Security and Compliance Team
GSI maintains a team of security specialists focused on the integrity of our networks, systems, and personnel. This team helps GSI ensure that we are able to meet the scrutiny of regulators (SAS70-Type II and PCI-DSS Certified), but also that our teams are all performing at levels that will support the regulatory needs of our clients, including SAS70, Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI-DSS and HIPAA. GSI’s Security and Compliance Team closely monitors adherence to change control procedures, risk management, and security threat analysis on behalf of GSI and our clients.
Project Management Team
GSI’s team of project managers provides the key element ensuring that implementations and reconfiguration projects are handled efficiently, accurately, and expediently. GSI’s project managers are PMP and Scrum certified to ensure that all aspects of the most efficient project management processes are being executed across the multiple GSI teams required to implement a project. GSI has modified the Agile project management style that has revolutionized software development to better fit our project lifecycle needs when deploying servers, networks, and applications. This approach ensures that GSI brings the right people to the table to collaborate on a topic and more rapidly resolve any outstanding issues that may arise.
Enterprise Development Team
GSI’s roots as an application centric service provider are highlighted by our Enterprise Development Team. This team is dedicated to constant improvement in the tools, technologies, and processes that are required for GSI to provide the highest levels of customized support services to our clients. While primarily focused on development of tools that enable GSI’s other teams to work more efficiently, the Enterprise Development Team also provides customized monitoring tools for client applications, and assists in the diagnosis and solution engineering when a client’s applications are not performing as expected or when bottlenecks in application design may prevent a client from successfully scaling their site/application.
Client Services Team
The team that ties all of these efforts together at GSI is the Client Services Team. GSI has positioned the Client Services Team as a representative of each client within our organization. If your business needs change, our Client Services Team can take that change and work across the organization to ensure that each supporting team is delivering the engineering, management, and support services that are needed to meet or exceed your expectations. GSI expects support issues related to the technical operations of your hosted infrastructure to go through our Response Center and other teams, it is the duty of the Client Services Team to manage your business related issues, including billing inquiries, contract clarification, service reviews, and service growth.
Facilities Team
GSI has invested millions of dollars into several facilities and protects that investment with a dedicated staff of Facilities engineers and technicians. GSI’s Facilities Team maintains certified mechanics, electricians, HVAC technicians, security specialists, and network wiring techs. This ensures that we can meet a critical expansion need without vendor negotiations, scheduling, and overhead. Whether it is deploying 1 cable, 1 cabinet, or a whole row of new power and cooling infrastructure, GSI’s dedicated Facilities Team delivers the enterprise level facility infrastructure and operations required to protect your critical data.
